Air India New AME Collage in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, 22/11/2024– Air India announced on Friday its plans to establish a Basic Maintenance Training Organization (BMTO) AME Collage in Bengaluru. This new facility will offer a comprehensive four-year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) course, certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Air India has partnered with Bengaluru Airport City Limited (BACL) to develop a dedicated campus for the BMTO. This 86,000 square foot facility will feature modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and a team of experienced trainers.

Prior to the commencement of operations at the new BMTO, Air India will work in conjunction with academic institutions in Bengaluru and Hyderabad to initiate a Cadet AME training program. This interim measure will ensure continuity in AME education and workforce development.
